Grade 11 Bonding trip

Last week our Grade 11 students went away for a long weekend to bond together as a class, at the beginning of their two-year journey together that will lead them on to university success.

Seventy-five Grade 11 students and seven staff chaperones left ISF on two large buses to travel to the Bavarian Alps.

The weekend was filled with many team-building activities including a strenuous evening hike, archery, canoeing, cycling, indoor cliff climbing, and a Kletterwald, a climbing park.

The students prepared a barbecue meal and joined in gladly with the cleaning up of the dining area and their sleeping areas. The final activity, on Sunday morning, was a visit to Germany’s most famous tourist attraction, Neuschwanstein castle.

Despite some sore muscles and sleep deprivation, the students had a great time and, most importantly, come closer together as the ISF Class of 2017.
