Varsity Girls Volleyball Do Themselves Proud

This last weekend, the Varsity Volleyball girls travelled to Stuttgart to compete in the annual GISST Tournament. Not only did they place 4th (the best place the girls have achieved in years), but also showed amazing team spirit and individual skill. On the first day they beat Franconian International School 2, Leipzig International School and Berlin Brandenburg International School and only lost a close game to the International School of Stuttgart, the host, which resulted in them taking second place in their group. The first game of the second day, against Bavarian International School, was tough especially due to the early start, but the girls managed to fight through and earned a place in the semi-finals, where they unfortunately lost against Berlin International School.

In the final game they really played their hearts out and let it all out on the field, almost placing third in a heart-breaking last game that ended 2:1. Overall the girls did an amazing job and should be proud of one another and themselves.
