Winter Concerts at ISF

Just before the Christmas break, our Music Department presented the ISF Winter Concerts.

On Tuesday, December 13th we saw performances from our primary school students from Preschool to Grade 2; our German Choir (directed by Frau Jovanovic-Graf), Glee Kids, and a special performance from Junior Stage! This concert presented a children’s musical entitled “How to Train your Reindeer to Fly!” All students involved worked very hard to give an entertaining and memorable performance. It was a wonderful and truly collaborative production from music, drama, and art. Thank you to all teachers and students involved in this concert! Special thanks to our own art teacher, Dr. Domench, for designing our beautiful backdrop. Also, thank you to Ms. O’Sullivan for directing and staging such a marvellous performance!

Our second Winter Concert was held on Wednesday, December 14th and featured performances from Grades 3 to 5; our Junior Strings Ensemble; our Vocal Ensemble, and a number of Grade 11 students. Grades 3 to 5 were directed by Mr. Sobolak. The Junior Strings Ensemble was directed by Ms. Atanassova, and the Vocal Ensemble was directed by Mrs. Rucker. The Grade 11 student performers featured were: Louise G., Yulin G., Oliver I., David P., and Eleanor S.

he concert concluded with all students on stage to lead the audience in a sing-a-long! Thank you to our teachers and students involved for making this such an enjoyable concert! Special thanks must go to Ms. Rucker, our music department and our class teachers for working so hard to produce these wonderful performances.
